Preston Montague is an artist and landscape designer working to enhance the narrative quality and ecological service potential of our built environment. Utilizing over twenty years of formal art training, Preston approaches landscape design as dynamic sculpture capable of translating context and history into a form that triggers emotional responses and choreographs experiences. He is also an enthusiastic horticulturist, employing plants not only to foster biodiversity, but also a diversity of human activity. By amplifying emotional connectivity and ecological service, Preston strives to develop sustainability through meaning. When not behind the drafting table he can be found teaching children and adults to draw in the landscape. Preston holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from North Carolina State University.
